Write Where You Like and It Appears on Your Website
If you already write somewhere else, you can connect it. Posts from WordPress, Medium, Ghost, Substack and anything else publishing a standard feed will appear on your actor website as a blog section on your own domain.
Why not just link to it
Because a link sends people away, and they do not come back. A visitor who clicks through to a writing platform is now on a page surrounded by other writers, with a subscribe prompt and a recommendation feed, and your reel is two tabs behind them.
Bringing the posts in keeps the visitor on your site, in your design, next to your menu. It also means the writing counts toward your own site's depth in search rather than somebody else's.
What arrives
- Title, date, the post itself, and its lead image.
- A listing page in your menu, and each post at its own address on your domain.
- Automatic updates as you publish. Nothing to press.
A link back to the original is included on each post, which keeps things straightforward with the platform you are publishing on.
Whether you should be blogging at all
Honest answer: only if you will keep doing it. Three posts from eighteen months ago is worse than no blog, for exactly the same reason an out-of-date site is worse than a small one. It is a visible sign of abandonment.
If you do write, the subjects that actually work for actors are narrower than people expect. Process pieces about a specific job. Practical craft writing. Something you know about that other actors do not. What does not work is general career advice from somebody at the same stage as the reader, which is the most commonly attempted and least read category.

If you do not write elsewhere
You can write directly on your own site instead, which is covered in blog posts on your own website. That is the better option for most people: one place, no connection to maintain, and the content is unambiguously yours.
